Day 13 / June 29– Június 29/ tizenharmadik nap

Kb 200km-t. S ismét leborultunk a balti tengernél. Bár ezúttal a meztelen fürdőzés elmaradt.

A kempingekre.

Persze, Tallinba járnak olcsó city-breakre a finnek. Egy vekni kenyér 50 cent. Ugyanaz egy kompnyival arrébb 2.50.

Time to leave for Tallin has came. It was a mythical moment. After all, when we reach Tallin we will basically have reached home. Only a 3 hours ferry ride and 621kms would separate us from Oulu. In the excitement we were hectic, getting ready in the morning trying to reach our destination quick as we might. We have travelled some 200 kms but I am not certain of exact numbers. I cannot find my blue book right now. A shame, it is a good book.  We reached our destination eventually.

There are a number of campsites in Tallin. The first one didn’t really function as a campsite. The next one was full of tarmac and concrete and caravans and campers. There was some festival going on so the grass was taken away.  The third one in the marina was the jackpot, they had grass, expensive showers and shitty facilities and some stench of piss. At least it was dirt cheap.

The city, in which we spent the next days is quite a remarkable place. This time, driving in it was fascinating to recognise so much of Finland. In fact, it felt more like Finland than Finland itself.  The way all, that was typically Finnish, companies, services, manners and attitudes piled sky high was almost kitsch. It nice though in some twisted way though. But I guess necessary. From across the Baltic many come to spend a cheap holiday, and it does apparently help that you can stuff yourself at the local hessburger outlet. And tallin is catching for its price I am sure. The same loaf of bread that cost there 50 cents, over the Baltic will fetch five times that much.

 I almost forgot, Sork!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It was the last streach we knew we would see storks. We were completely loosing orselves in screaming on top of our voices when spotting one.
